It will be the first big sportingevent at the new Convention Center, and a pretty good event to take place inthe City of Washington. Khan holds the WBA and IBF light-welterweight titles,and they will both be on the line when he fights Lamont. The fight wasannounced in London on Oct 6, 2011. According to the Daily Mail, Khan intendsto invite both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton to watch the fight.
Amir Iqbal Khan born 8 December 1986, is a British professional boxer who is currently the unified WBA (Super) & IBF light welterweight champion. Currently, Khan is rated as the best boxer in the light welterweight division, and above Timothy Bradley who holds one other major title in the division. Khan is also rated #9 and #10 pound-for-pound best boxer in the world by Boxrec and Sports Illustrated respectively. Khan is also rated the #1 in the British pound for pound rankings by Sportinglife.King khan is nick name of this great boxer. On the other hand Lamont Peterson (born January 24, 1984) is a boxer in the Light Welterweight division. In 2009 Peterson defeated Blain by 7th round TKO to win the interim WBO Light Welterweight World Championship belt. He fought Timothy Bradley for a major title in late 2009, but lost by unanimous decision. On the undercard of Amir Khan vs. Marcos Maidana, Lamont faced title challenger Victor Ortiz on December 11 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and fought to a majority draw. Peterson is scheduled to fight Amir Khan for the WBA and IBF light-welterweight titles in Washington DC on 10 December. Peterson described the fight in prospect as "for sure the biggest and (most) exciting fight of my career so far", later adding "on 10 December, I will make my dreams come true and ruin Amir's plans to reign over his division". His nick name is Havoc.
